Modern Art

Working in contemporary art means constantly reinventing yourself. The Brushed series is the latest art series from Ronald Hunter, in which he omits his recognizable textures for the first time.

My first series without texture; only free forms applied with a coarse brush.

The Brushed series

Abstract art is for Ronald a continuous search for new ways, for new ways of expressing oneself. For this contemporary art series he chose to work with a coarse brush, and to apply the colors over each other in smooth movement.

I was looking for more expression, and less controlled as I normally work. With the large brush I was able to create large wave movements.

As with all his work, Ronald uses many layers of acrylic paint. The color combinations are based on the Oceanic collection.

The colors of Brushed are more intertwined, the technique lends itself more to letting it flow into each other. Basically the same thing happens with texture, but here the layers of color are mixed up even more.

All paintings are ready to hang. Part of the collection is sold in a frame.

The collection will be regularly supplemented with new work. Want to stay informed about Ronald’s work and projects? Follow him on Instagram ! Then you will also be the first to know about promotions.
